Fulvodrakon allows you to add important humic and fulvic acids to aquarium water, creating natural and species-appropriate conditions for aquarium inhabitants. Humic substances are present in greater or lesser quantities in practically all naturally occurring bodies of water. Blackwater habitats are particularly well known for their exceptionally high concentrations of humic substances, but they are also abundant in other types of water. However, water treatment plants remove these substances almost completely from supplied tap water because of their coloring and taste. Humic substances should not be missing from any aquarium. Their positive effects on aquatic organisms, including increased vitality, coloration, and well-being, have now been demonstrated several times in scientific studies. If they are absent from the source water, they should therefore be added. Effect Fulvic and humic acids contribute to species-appropriate care. Since they are present in almost every natural environment, aquatic organisms are adapted to them, and even low concentrations that are barely visible in the water can have positive effects. Experiments with daphnia demonstrated increases in reproduction rate and mobility, used as indicators of well-being. An increasing number of recent studies on humic substances demonstrate an exceptional range of positive effects on organisms. These effects are based, for example, on the deactivation of toxins by forming insoluble complexes or on fulvic and humic acids blocking harmful substances at cell membranes and mucous membranes.
