Symptoms of potassium deficiency include sudden growth stagnation and deformities in newly developing leaves. Base fertilization with Ferrdrakon can be supplemented with Ferrdrakon K, which contains a higher proportion of potassium as well as more magnesium and calcium. Composition 30,000 mg/l K, 7,500 mg/l Mg, 500 mg/l Fe, 200 mg/l Mn, 100 mg/l Ca, 30 mg/l B, 10 mg/l Cu, 10 mg/l Mo, 10 mg/l Zn, 5 mg/l Ni, 5 mg/l Co, 4.6 mg/l I, EDTA, HEEDTA, DTPA, NTA, methylparaben, ascorbic acid Dosage Ferrdrakon K replaces only part of the Ferrdrakon dosage. Replace part of the calculated Ferrdrakon dose with twice the amount of Ferrdrakon K. When used alone, the potassium supply would be too high in practically all cases. Begin with a maximum of 2030% of the Ferrdrakon dose. Any increase must be made slowly. As soon as no further growth improvement occurs or algae growth appears, reduce the replacement ratio again. Daily dosing is recommended. As an exception, when otherwise dosing daily, the fresh water can be fertilized directly during water changes using half the dose (10 ml per 100 l of water). A minimum water change of 25% every 2 weeks is assumed. Optimal iron content: 0.050.1 mg/l Optimal potassium content: 1015 mg/l A greatly elevated potassium level may, under certain circumstances, cause excessive green algae growth or induce symptoms of magnesium deficiency by displacement. Shelf life When stored in a cool, dark place (the metal-chelate complexes are light-sensitive), 3 years from the date of manufacture. The supplied solution ranges in color from pale yellow to dark brown. After exposure to air for some time, its color may deepen to a dark brown or greenish black, while remaining clear. This does not change the fertilizer's effectiveness.
