Facetensid is an anionic plant-based surfactant based on citric acid and fatty alcohols for making shower gels and hair shampoos. It is very mild and well tolerated by the skin and mucous membranes. Facetensid smooths the skin, produces a fine, creamy foam, is readily biodegradable, and acts as a co-emulsifier.
