  • FIBER: Xylo-oligosaccharides (XOS) are considered fiber because they consist of short chains of the sugar xylose that are largely indigestible by human digestive enzymes in the small intestine. They therefore reach the large intestine, where gut bacteria can use them. XOS are classified as nondigestible carbohydrates, with a breakdown rate by human digestive enzymes of less than 0.4%.
  • VERSATILE USE: XOS powder is heat-stable, acid-stable, and easily soluble. The 3 g daily serving can be mixed into cold or hot beverages such as water, tea, or coffee, as well as yogurt, muesli, or smoothies. Intake can be spread throughout the day and should be taken with a meal.
