With Fluval's specially designed Foamex filter media, you can remove nitrate, nitrite, ammonia, and phosphate from your aquarium. The media is ideal for new, heavily stocked, or dirty aquariums and is specially designed for Fluval Flex aquariums. Fluval Foamex Nitrite Remover neutralizes, absorbs, and traps nitrite and nitrate in the water. Instructions: 1. Place the nitrite-remover foam block in your aquarium filter. 2. For best results, replace the foam monthly or as needed based on water testing. 3. If a spike in nitrite or nitrate is detected, replace the foam as needed. Remove the plastic bag and rinse the block thoroughly before use. Place the block in the upper section of the foam filter. To ensure beneficial bacteria are always present, do not replace all filter media at the same time. Test the nitrite level once a week to help maintain optimal water quality. Keep out of reach of children.
