Sharp objects, including long fingernails, can easily cause holes or tear your latex garment. 7. Sweat can damage latex over time. Keep it clean. 8. Leather can also damage and weaken latex. Washing latex Fill a bucket with lukewarm water, add one or two drops of shampoo, and wash the latex in it. Then rinse it thoroughly with clean water so no shampoo remains.
