Havens Alfalfa Pellets, 25 kg. Ideal as a substitute for part of the roughage, high in protein and low in sugar (unmolassed). Thanks to their gentle production process, HAVENS Alfalfa Pellets contain all necessary vitamins and minerals. As with beet pulp, the particularly high calcium content of the alfalfa pellets is excellent for counteracting an excessively high calcium-to-phosphorus ratio caused by incorrect feeding, which is often a trigger for urinary tract diseases. Dark green pellets with a diameter of 6 mm. Contains only alfalfa, with no molasses or other additives. Low in starch and sugar and rich in natural protein. Feeding instructions: Alfalfa pellets can be fed dry or soaked. Dry feeding is possible for horses that eat slowly and salivate sufficiently. When feeding dry, ensure that your horse does not eat too quickly and drinks enough water, as the alfalfa pellets expand. Smaller quantities can generally be fed dry. We recommend soaking the alfalfa pellets at a 1:2 ratio: 1 kg of alfalfa pellets to 2 liters of water. The alfalfa pellets are supplied in 25 kg bags. Animal category or species: Horses.
