An air pump with an air stone is beneficial for aquariums at night, as plants do not produce oxygen without light and consume it instead. In sparsely planted aquariums, the air pump helps maintain necessary water circulation. In densely planted aquariums, the air pump provides oxygen at night, as the oxygen level can drop due to the many plants. During illnesses, the air pump increases the oxygen content in the water, which is often required for many medications. Easy to connect the air stone with a hose to the air pump (not included) and place the air stone in the aquarium.
