Handmade, reusable orthoptic eye patch for amblyopia (lazy eye) occlusion therapy. The eye patch fits glasses up to 40 mm in height and has a universal fit for children's and adult frames. Please refer to the photo for exact measurements. IMPORTANT NOTE: Please select the side carefully and purchase the patch for the correct eye. Occlusion therapy, commonly known as patching, is used to treat an amblyopic or lazy eye. The patch is made of felt, which is soft, non-toxic, and safe for use on the skin. It is lined with black, hypoallergenic material for maximum light blockage and comfort and shaped to follow the contour of the eye area for optimal coverage. Recommended by ophthalmologists. The patch fits over the outside of the eyeglass frame. How does it work? By covering the good eye, you encourage your child's brain to use the lazy eye, and vision should improve. This stimulates the brain cells corresponding to the lazy eye, allowing them to develop and therefore improving vision.
