The Burgenland wine-growing region covers approximately 11,700 hectares and stretches from southeastern Austria along the Hungarian border to the Slovak border. Its climate is characterized by Pannonian and continental influences. The soils are dominated by sandy gravel, limestone, and loam. Top-quality wines are created by blending different grape varieties. The aim of a cuve is to find an optimal balance among the individual characteristics of the grape varieties used, including aromas, body and mouthfeel, fruit and acidity, alcohol, tannins and bitter compounds, and the balance of the finish. This produces not only complex wines but also wines with consistently high quality over the years. Characteristics of this wine: Light greenish-yellow in the glass. The nose offers aromas of pear, fresh apple, and floral notes. The palate has a full body, juicy fruit, and lively acidity. Food pairing: The Heideboden White pairs excellently with light meat dishes or soups such as cream of cauliflower soup with herb croutons. It is also an excellent accompaniment to Asian cuisine.
