Description

The Vanilla tahitensis pods are relatively wide (1 cm), pleasantly soft, and slightly moist, so they should not be confused with the better-known Bourbon vanilla. Their exclusive fragrance is delicate and floral, with notes of exotic fruits and a hint of tobacco. The cellulose in the pod gives the seeds their characteristic flavor. The specks or flecks merely suggest an intense aroma. Ingo Hollands tip: Store them in sugar syrup. This keeps them moist and pliable. The price-to-performance ratio is very good because the pods are highly productive. Tahitian vanilla is the queen among vanilla varieties and, due to its opulent aroma, should preferably be used for desserts. Ingredients: Vanilla.
